Advanced Add Computer

You can use the “Advanced Add Computer” dialog box to specify advanced computer properties for the computer being added.

You should specify the name or IP address of the computer, you want to add. If you do not remember the name of the computer, you can click the button to the right from the input field and select the computer from the network neighborhood.

You can use this field to enter the description of the computer that will be displayed in the computer list.

You can use this section to select the group the computer will be added to.

You can add the new computer to an existing group. To do it, you should select the option and select the computer group from the drop-down list.

If you select this option, specify the name of the new group the computer will be added to.

You can use this tab to select the account the program will use to connect to the remote computer.

If you select this option, you will see the “Connect As” dialog box where you will be able to specify the username and password each time you connect to the remote computer.

The program will connect to the remote computer as the current user.

If you select this option, you can specify the username, domain and password. The “Domain” parameter is optional. This data will be used to connect to the remote computer.

If you select this checkbox, the specified connection parameters will be used as the default ones for new computers.

You can use this tab to specify how the computer state is checked (on or off). The state of each computer in the list is checked periodically in order to show if they are on or off and also before establishing a connection to the computer.

The state of the computer will not be checked, it will be considered switched off.

Ping is used to check the state. Most computers respond to this query.

A TCP connection with the specified port is established in order to check the computer state.

Response timeout for the remote computer. If the remote computer does not respond within the specified time, it is considered switched off.

If you want the “Advanced Add computer” dialog box to be displayed whenever you add a computer, select this checkbox.

After you click the “Add” button, a new computer with the specified properties will be added to the computer list.
