Computer Properties

You can use this dialog box to change the properties of a computer in the computer list.

General

General tab - Computer properties - Remote Process Explorer

You can change the name or IP address of the computer in the input field and its description in the Description field.

Connect as...

Connect as... tab - Computer properties - Remote Process Explorer

You can use this tab to select the account the program will use to connect to the remote computer.

Ask user name and password before connection

If you select this option, you will see the “Connect As” dialog box where you will be able to specify the username and password each time you connect to the remote computer.

Current user

The program will connect to the remote computer as the current user.

The following user

If you select this option, you can specify the username, domain and password. The “Domain” parameter is optional. This data will be used to connect to the remote computer.

Save connection parameters as default

If you select this checkbox, the specified connection parameters will be used as the default ones for new computers.

Check state

You can use this tab to specify how the computer state is checked (on or off). The state of each computer in the list is checked periodically in order to show if they are on or off and also before establishing a connection to the computer.

Don’t check state

The state of the computer will not be checked, it will be considered switched off.

Ping

Ping is used to check the state. Most computers respond to this query.

TCP connect to port

A TCP connection with the specified port is established in order to check the computer state.

Timeout

Response timeout for the remote computer. If the remote computer does not respond within the specified time, it is considered switched off.
